1:

Compatible vehicles must have "factory" keyless installed (not a 3rd party keyless kit), and vehicle lights must flash when pressing the factory remote's LOCK & UNLOCK buttons.

2:

Not compatible if vehicle lights flash when the driver's door is unlocked with the metal key.

3:

Incompatible with vehicles that cannot detect a 12v signal from the door lock motors (e.g., most vacuum-type door locks)

4:

The 1440 accurately reads the factory keyless signals to prevent unauthorized disarming of the security system. However, there are some rare cases where the factory keyless signal may drift and prevent arming for a single session. In this case, simply unlocking and then locking again will solve the problem.

5:

Cannot Arm/Disarm while Hazard lights are flashing, unless the optional CAN1D adapter is also installed.

6:

Some vehicles may require optional parts (e.g., PBS-30 switch for Push Start cars or DSS-6 splitter for Smart/Intelli Key cars).

7:

If your keyless remote doesn't work while the engine is running, you cannot Arm/Disarm when using Remote Starters or Turbo Timers.

8:

If you replace your blinker/hazard lamps (e.g., with LED versions) after the 1440 has been installed, you may need to reset the 1440 and then re-learn the door lock signals again to obtain proper alarm operation.
